How To Play

The Idea

You're given three footballers, and your task is to figure out which footballer played with all three of them at club level, each at a different club. The fun is in the niche links — maybe it's two future stars playing together at a lower-division club years before they became household names, or two former world-class players linking up in their twilight years. You need to be sharp to remember some of the more under-the-radar examples of top footballers who once played together.

1

Look at the three footballers and guess the mystery footballer who played with all three of them, at club level, at three different clubs.

2

Guess wrong, and you'll reveal one club where one of the three footballers played alongside the mystery footballer.

3

Guess wrong again, and another club is revealed — and again after that, until all three clubs are shown.

4

If you still can't guess correctly once all three clubs are revealed, you lose. A new puzzle is up every day at midnight.
